Mapp, Ilene Carver, and Jessica Lander, published by Scholastic. This book is written with practitioners in mind. You'll find practical strategies as well as thought-provoking stories from the field revealing what cultural competence means for family engagement. See a review of the book here.
Dates and Details
Author Ilene Carver will join the discussion. Chapters will be divided up for each session and we will be piloting a book study guide with Scholastic.
A limited number of free copies of the book are available for participants in the book group. Those who attend the orientation meeting on June 25 will receive a free copy of the book. If you can't attend the meeting, you can still be part of the virtual chats and secure the book on your own.
